Duo Design's striking visual identity for Kinross makes a bold and intriguing mark. Over the past decade Duo Design has worked closely with the owners of Kinross, a leading vineyard and boutique hotel in Central Otago’s Gibbston valley. Our first project was to create a brand to launch Kinross to the national and international tourism market. Key to our strategy was establishing a brand identity that was both impactful and flexible, along with reflecting the land's legacy and heritage.
Duo Design's first task was creating a design strategy. Research led the creative journey and we were crafted brand that is both authentic and memorable. Reflecting the pioneering spirit of the original landowner Scotsman Thomas Kinross, a rustic gold X literally marks the spot where he resided as postmaster during Central Otago's legendary gold rush. Found gold was lodged by the finder with the postmaster, with many using a simple X in place of a formal signature. Duo Design's creative work for Kinross is immense. Their ongoing success and industry accolades reflect the energy of this iconic wine destination. We think the results speak for themselves.
